It's a bummer, but I guess I am getting used to it.

Noticed some small things:

-The spell "Enchanted weapon" (Level 3 mass blessing) says "Increases all types of attacks to all friendly units by 1. "
This sounds like it if it was a debuff. I would replace it with "attacks of all friendly units".

-The upgraded Gryphons, "Battle Gryphons" seem to stop being animals. So some spells work again like fire blade or inspiration, but animal spells stop working. Maybe it is intended, not sure.

I gotta say, the long delays during combat are ruining the fun of this mod. Sometimes it is every turn for like 10 seconds, even if the AI only has 1 unit left. There must be some crazy CPU calculations going on during these delays because the processor core the game uses goes to 100% during that delay.
Apparently from what I read with translate in the russian forum, this seems to be normal? I only read a few complaints about it.

Anyone notice long delays in combat? The AI seems to take like 10 seconds to make the next move sometimes, and this is during easy fights. Any setting to change that?
I also could not skip the tutorial in the campaign on both settings in the .ini and with the tutorial setting in game off.

Once again thank you very much for translating this update and for keeping us hooked to the best game ever! The AI analysis parameter seems very interesting, it is to reduce the annoyingly long turn times, right? I guess 1 will be the default setting most people will use all the time if you don't want to switch around all the time. Did anyone play around with the settings yet? Does it help with the turns? Does the AI get too bad?

Found a small description error, the Monstrologists Guild still says it enables the recruitment of Manticores if there is an egg, but the previous building, the Handlers Guild is already enough for Manticores.

Thanks alot, editing the campdiff.var worked perfectly! I changed the 4 in expert to 2 and everything was normal again, probably too easy, gonna try it on 3 next.

Guess I'll try that, too. Lost the last 4 shards in the campaign in turns 30-70 because I just can't keep up with the AI. Last shard I lost on turn 35 against a level 25 commander type who rushed my level 15 or so tactician with 10 harpies, and I thought I was doing pretty well lol
The AI seems to level at least once per turn+some travel, I just come nowhere close to that.

One question, what is the "Army composition" button in the hero inventory window for? On mouseover it shows some price, gold and gems, but what does that mean? Edit: ok it came to me, it means army maintenance costs!

ok so I played a game of the new version, and noticed some things:

Archmage can't have level 4 creature anymore? sucks...
Some artillery units with movement 1 don't move at all, like the blue Scorpion ballista thing from the dwarfs for example. It just waits forever if it is out of range.
Magic Crystal summon spell, what is its use? It just sits there, can't attack or cast anything. Is its purpose just to be an obstacle, Defense 14 is not bad in the beginning I guess.

Is there anyway to analyze a crash? I am getting frequent crashes druing the AI turn in my late campaign game. I load the game, can play 1 or two turns and then crash, and repeat.I can keep on playing but it is getting a bit annoying. gamelog.txt seems to show only what the AI was doing where, but nothing about a crash.

How do you utilize his speed, do you run away from the enemies while shooting at them?

And scouting? I thought thats a no-no, always fight something.


Oh and mage is easy even without crystals because all you really need is fatigue and burn ammo. Unless you want to use Necromancy of course.

Hmm sounds like he is sure. But the previous version I used was not that old ( v2.50c) and I never before updated the game during a campaign. v2.50c was the first time I played New Horizons in campaign mode.

I am using 2.60b. But this bug has been around for a long time, I'd be surprised if no one else noticed it. It is no big deal since you can simply avoid it by not clicking the bugged shards. In this campaign I had it for like 30 turns now. The three on the right upper side crash the game.

There are several shards on my astral plane that cause the game to crash when I click on them. Is this a known bug? If so, what causes it?

Hello,
I can only properly start and play with pure mage or with the strategist (commander -> ranger). Anyone know some good strategies with the other hero types? Like how to build them up and how their strength works.
